Lutefisk

Each quantity comes in 1.75 pound packages Lutefisk is a traditional Scandinavian delicacy of dried whitefish (usually cod) that is rehydrated in a lye solution, giving it a gelatinous texture and mild, fishy flavor, often described as fish-flavored Jell-O that needs generous amounts of butter, salt, pepper, or a cream sauce to enhance it. Made from stockfish, it's a historic preservation method that's very popular for Christmas in Norway and among Scandinavian-Americans, served with potatoes, peas, rutabagas, and lefse.
